Cross-cultural collaboration

The module provided us with valuable insights into the concept of education that breaks through geographic and cultural boundaries. We delved into A.S. Neill’s Summerhill School case study, which exemplifies the benefits of allowing students to express themselves freely.

Undoubtedly, the Thailand Field Trip was the highlight of the module. It offered us a splendid chance to experience a new way of life and immerse ourselves in a different culture. Dr. Bunnag Nadhawee’s lectures on Introduction to Thailand were enlightening, and our guide took us to some awe-inspiring landmarks, including the ancient temples of Ayutthaya and the Grand Palace in Bangkok.

As we visited the Thai university, I couldn’t help but notice the differences between their organization and our London-based university. The experience opened my eyes to their unique routines and uniform policies that differ from ours. Furthermore, I realized how challenging student financing can be in Thailand, which has a direct impact on students and educators alike.

Overall, this module has significantly contributed to my cross-cultural collaboration and understanding skills, which will be helpful in my future career. These skills will be invaluable, especially if I venture into fields related to international relations.
