Difference Festival

Democratic Education Network (DEN) presented a spectacle event organised and delivered by the students on Friday the 22nd of February. Amongst many events that are taking place between 25-29th  of February in the University of Westminster, this was the first one where the students from the University of Westminster, partner schools in London and alumni exhibited their artwork, presented their poems; schools students provided a fantastic event of rapping and singing to make the night unforgettable.

Students from DEN hosted an art exhibition which was launched on the evening of 22nd February and ran until 25th February. The exhibition showcased pictures taken by students and various artists surrounding the themes of the Difference Festival. The pictures showcased students on their various student trips where they engage and embrace different cultures and learn more about them. The exhibition also displayed pictures surrounding the themes of gender equality. The launch event was a packed evening of slam poetry, games and live music all presented by fellow students.

The event saw students get together and share their personal life experiences beautifully converted into their songs and poetry. The event was also attended by our Vice Chancellor Dr. Peter Bonfield along with other Academic staff members from the School of Social Sciences and many other students.
