DEN Conference - 2024

My Experience in London

This was my first-time visiting England, and London is much more beautiful than I could have imagined. It is also very different from Thailand in many ways. It was also a chance to catch up with friends from the University of Westminster and DEN’s Students. I also met new friends from Vietnam and the United States who were also attending the DEN 7th Annual Conference. Attending the DEN International Student Conference was a truly inspiring experience. I was able to learn new information and gain different perspectives from each friend’s thoughts and presentations. It was a fantastic opportunity to expand my knowledge, meet new people, and form new friendships and connections.

In addition to attending the DEN International Student Conference, Dr. Farhang and friends from the University of Westminster also took the group on city tours and landmarks and provided historical information about England.

Here are some of the highlights from the author’s trip:

London Eye: The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel that offers panoramic views of the city. It is a popular tourist attraction and an iconic symbol of London.

Big Ben: Big Ben is the nickname for the bell housed in the Elizabeth Tower at the Houses of Parliament in London. It is one of the most recognisable landmarks in the world.

Bank Street: Bank Street is a major financial district in London. It is home to many banks, embassies, and other financial institutions.

Soho: Soho is a vibrant neighborhood in central London known for its diverse population, trendy shops, and restaurants. It is a popular destination for both locals and tourists.

In addition to the places on this trip, I visited the British Museum, which collects objects from every continent and divides the display zones, such as the ancient Egyptian zone. Ancient Greek and Roman zones, Asian, European, American, Middle East, etc. It is said that The British Museum possesses and preserves over 8 million artefacts that can be displayed to only a small percentage of visitors due to the limitations of the exhibit space. Some ancient objects must be preserved in the basement. Also, I went to the Natural History Museum. The museum brings together evidence and important historical pieces of the world that are millions of years old.

I would like to thank you everyone. I was filled with profound gratitude for the experiences and connections I’ve made along the way. At the heart of this enriching adventure lies the warm hospitality and unwavering support of Dr. Farhang and my friends from the University of Westminster and Den’s Student. Thank you so much.
