Last Friday, I had the incredible privilege of presenting alongside Fowsiya Awes at the Democratic Education Network (DEN) International Students Conference at the University of Westminster. Our topic, the Dangers of Artificial Intelligence, could not be more relevant to the world we are living in today.
This experience was far more than a learning opportunity. It was one of the most memorable moments of my academic journey so far, one that I know I will carry with me for a very long time. Those who know me well know that I love to speak, but there is something truly special about standing before an audience that is genuinely listening, genuinely engaged, and genuinely curious. In those moments, I felt the power and the responsibility of having a voice, and I embraced every second of it.
I am deeply grateful to my tutors Lee Kennedy and Prabhakar Tailor, whose encouragement and belief in me made this possible. They opened the door to this opportunity and pushed me to step through it with confidence. Thank you for seeing my potential, even when I was still finding it myself.
